We had an excellent turnout of 118 players for this year’s Spring Meeting at Denbigh Golf Club. The weather didn’t disappoint, the course was in great condition and the golf club made everyone feel very welcome.
A special mention to Don Walmsley from Denbigh who did an excellent job supporting Wayne Harris on the handicap and cards process, making sure the event ran smoothly. We must also give a mention to Alan Bottomley (Clays) and Cliff Hopley (Wrexham) who, despite not having partners, both played to ensure the other pair had markers, a credit to both of them for showing the correct etiquette.
Results were tight with card play-offs for first and third as follows:
First Place 45pts £85 Voucher each - Jonny Rogers & Liam Cade (Moss GC)
Second Place 45pts £65 Voucher each - Haydn Owen & Tegid Phillips (Denbigh GC)
Third Place 44pts £45 Voucher each - Paul Wallace-Jones & Keith Hawthorne (Clays GC)
Fourth Place 44pts £35 Voucher each - Dave Palferman & Richard Collier (Clays GC)
These results will be circulated to club reps shortly and vouchers will be issued to them for distribution to prize winners.
