Life Vice President Gwilym Williams

It was with great sadness, I was advised of the sudden and unexpected passing of our Life Vice President Gwilym Williams from Denbigh GC.

Gwilym has been a key person within our Union for many years.

County Captain, County President and as our Financial Auditor and great supporter of our events.

Indeed, he is the current holder of our County Senior Stableford Championships Trophy, won at his home course in 2022 and which I knew gave his immense pride and joy.

I am personally, devastated by the news as I regarded him as a friend.

We enjoyed many years together within the Denbighshire Past Captains Society, laughing as much as playing.

Our joint groups will be diminished by his passing.
